Writing Your Exam

Your Roadmap to ECBA Certification

It’s go time! You’ve studied hard, and now it’s time to get certified.
Take a deep breath, you’ve got this.

Exam Day Procedure:

Set up your testing area and have your ID and cell phone ready
Arrive early to handle any technical issues with PSI
Launch your exam
- On the day of your exam, you will be able to launch your exam from the IIBA portal using the Schedule and Pass Exam goal, up to 30 minutes before the start time
  - To launch your exam, you must log in with your IIBA credentials through the IIBA portal, as it follows the single sign-on procedure—don’t log in directly to PSI at any time
  - From your profile page, open the Certification menu
  - Select My Certifications, ECBA, and Schedule and Pass Exam—you’ll then be redirected to the
  - PSI scheduling page
  - Select Launch Exam
  - Follow the check-in procedure and connect with your proctor
Complete the exam
When your exam is completed, you’ll receive a pass or fail result on the screen. IIBA will email confirmation of your result within 48 hours. Please see the important note on results below.

Important!

⚠ As this is a new exam, we’ll be conducting a passing standard study to define the passing score. Candidates taking the new exam starting July 21, 2025, will receive results beginning on October 6, 2025. After this date, results will be shown immediately after exams are completed and submitted, and IIBA will email confirmation of them within 48 hours.

⚠ Don’t log in directly to PSI at any time. You should access your exam through the IIBA portal ONLY.

⚠ To be admitted to the exam, you must provide a piece of government-issued photo-identification (ID). The first name and last name on the ID must match the spelling (in Western characters) of the first name and last name on the email confirmation from PSI and your IIBA contact information. If your name doesn’t match, please refer to the instructions in section 3.0 of the Guide to Online Remote Proctored Exams.
